About The Position

Partnership Schools is accepting applications for full-time teaching assistants across our Cleveland schools. We are looking for individuals who share an unwavering commitment to raising student achievement and an appreciation and respect for Catholic culture, identity, and values. As an Assistant Teacher, you will hit the ground running to support students in the classroom by teaching small groups and facilitating whole-class instruction (under the guidance of the lead teacher) using a rigorous curriculum that inspires intellectual curiosity, reinforces the joy of learning, and enables all students to thrive. Collaboration is key to success in this position: be ready to work closely with other teachers, receive feedback from leaders, and develop meaningful relationships with students and parents.

  • Two years of urban teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement
  • High school degree required
  • At least one year of experience in childcare is preferred
  • Must pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the lead teacher in developing a positive and structured classroom environment that engages students and motivates them to succeed
  • Assuming responsibility for the academic progress of students with a high sense of urgency and ownership towards quantifiable results
  • Working with students in small groups and one-on-one settings
  • Fulfilling the school’s mission to educate the whole child, mind, body, and spirit
  • Taking accountability for student learning and for meeting classroom performance goals
  • Participating in ongoing professional developments sessions to grow as an educator
