About The Position

The Management & Organization Department of the Smeal College of Business is seeking applicants for a part-time job of Teaching Assistant to assist Dr. Pala in the MGMT 301 Honors course for the Fall 2026 semester. Teaching assistants are expected to demonstrate excellent academic performance, a high level of integrity, and professional behavior. TAs must uphold both the Smeal Honor Code and the Class Codes of Conduct and maintain strict confidentiality with respect to student information and course materials. Commitment and sensitivity to the individual student are required, including awareness of diversity of students’ cultural, racial, gender, and ethnic backgrounds; perception of differing learning styles; and attention to special needs of students with declared or apparent learning difficulties.

Requirements

• Applicants must be Smeal undergraduate students in the Schreyer Honors College with a 3.5 or higher GPA
• Applicants must have strong knowledge of the material from having performed well academically in MGMT 301H.
• Applicants must have the ability to work effectively one-on-one with students who are seeking help

Responsibilities

• Help with grading individual and team assignments and quizzes/exams and providing constructive feedback
• Regular meetings with the instructor
• Holding office hours (if necessary)
