About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Teaching Assistant position in the Simulation of Business Systems course (MBAB 5P74) for the Winter D3 term. Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $23.30 per hour. Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $36.67 per hour. In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These are made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required.

Requirements

Must have completed OPER4P31, MBAB5P74 or MSCM 5P77 with a grade above 80%
Must have knowledge of Arena software and MS-office applications
Must be familiar with the basic functions of Bright Space to guide students with the uploading and/or downloading of files related to lab practices, assignments and lab tests.
