About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) ARTL 3P41: Approaches to Curatorial Practices – D3, also offered as HAVC 3P41. This course involves the practical application of methodological and theoretical approaches to curating. The course format includes lectures and seminars, with 3 hours per week. It is a blended course, with in-class sessions on Tuesdays from 13:30 to 15:00 and online asynchronous components.
Requirements
- Relevant MA, MFA or PhD
- Previous teaching experience at the university level in the same subject field
- Relevant professional experience in the field
- Demonstrated teaching competence through previous course evaluations and 3 letters of reference
- Appropriate professional affiliations
- Demonstrated experience in experiential learning and online teaching
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
- Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
