This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the course PSYC 4P60, Psychology of Bilingualism, for the Winter D3-1 term at Brock University. The nominal workload for this position is either 120 or 180 hours per half credit course appointment. Ordinarily, teaching assistants will lead either 2 seminars, in the case of a 120-hour appointment, or 3 seminars in the case of a 180-hour appointment. Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement and may include attending lectures and TA meetings, preparing seminar materials, proctoring and grading assignments, tests, and examinations, holding office hours, answering student emails, maintaining accurate records, and helping students overcome difficulties with course material. The position requires flexibility to present material and conduct seminars remotely, and to maintain contact with the instructor, fellow TAs, and students via various communication methods.
