About The Position

McGill University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Oral Health Research 3, DENT 325. This position involves guiding students in developing Critically Appraised Topics (CAT) summaries, reviewing assignments, arranging additional meetings as needed, and providing feedback on CAT posters and Research Day presentations. The role requires attendance at course workshops.

Requirements

  • strong knowledge in biostatistics and epidemiology
  • skills in critical appraisal of different study designs (RCTs, Cohort, Case-control, Diagnostic studies, Systematic Reviews, Clinical Guidelines)
  • skills in the interpretation of study results, including statistical and clinical significance

Responsibilities

  • Attend the course workshops
  • Guide the assigned students' groups for CAT (Critically Appraised Topic) summary development
  • Review the assignments
  • Arrange additional meetings with the students if needed
  • Revise and provide comments on the CAT posters and Research Day presentations
