About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the course Quantitative Data Analysis for Oral Health Research (DENT 601) at McGill University. The role involves assisting the instructor with course delivery, including statistical programming in R and other in-class activities. The Teaching Assistant will also hold office hours to support students and will be responsible for data preparation for sessions and assignments, as well as grading.

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advance knowledge in theoretical and applied biostatistics.
  • Advanced level knowledge in R.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have taken DENT601.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the instructor in delivering the interactive and dyadic teaching materials (this will include statistical programming in R and other in-class activities)
  • Hold office hours to help students in better understand course materials or coding
  • Data preparation for hands-on sessions and assignments and grading.
