This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator position within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for ADST 5P75 Winter D11 in St. Catharines. Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time, which encompasses preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required. The mode of delivery for this course is planned for Fall/Winter 2025/26 terms and will be primarily in-person with a portion of additional synchronous and asynchronous online instruction during the term. It will be expected that you will be able to deliver the course material in the required format and planned schedule when the course is delivered.
