Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for a Teaching Assistant (ADST 5P74) for the Fall D10 BURLINGTON term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications of the employee, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour. Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. The mode of delivery for this course is planned to be primarily in-person with a portion of additional synchronous and asynchronous online instruction. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver course material in the required format and planned schedule.
