About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the ADST 5P71 Fall D10 TORONTO course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. The role involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom duties such as preparing seminar material, student consultation, marking, grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. The course delivery for Fall/Winter 2025/26 is primarily in-person with some online instruction. The Teaching Assistant will be expected to deliver course material in the required format and schedule.

Requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree and previous completion of ADST 5P71 with >85 grade.
  • Demonstrated relevant Graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or Behavioural Psychology.
  • Demonstrated experience in ABA.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet agreed upon deadlines.
  • Available to attend in TORONTO and/or attend online synchronous and asynchronous course support – weekday/evenings/weekend.
  • Experience using Brightspace or other learning management systems.
  • Experience using video conferencing platforms (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams)
  • Available for in person, online, email and phone office hours during the week.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in disability studies considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in teaching principles of ABA to graduate or undergraduate students and/or clinical staff members an asset.
