About The Position

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and technology-savvy Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support the instructor in a virtual Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential course. Prior knowledge of the CDA Credential is not required. Training will be provided for the responsibilities of the position. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dependable, enjoys working in an educational environment, and is familiar using technology to support instructors and adult learners in a virtual classroom.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Familiarity with Zoom
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

• Prior knowledge of the CDA Credential is not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the virtual classroom during live Zoom sessions
• Admit students into the meeting and assist with basic classroom management
• Take attendance at multiple points during each class session
• Accurately record and submit attendance using the designated attendance sheet
• Monitor the chat for student questions and ensure the instructor is aware of them
• Provide general administrative support to help classes run smoothly
• Maintain a professional and welcoming online classroom environment
• Assist the instructor with other course-related tasks as needed
