About The Position
Montgomery Ridge Intermediate School is seeking a Part-Time Teaching Assistant for their Comprehensive Development Classroom (CDC). This role involves providing behavioral and educational support for young children with special needs, working with individual students and groups to help them access the least restrictive environment for their educational needs. The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, and willing to provide direct support, including feeding and diapering as needed. This position requires the ability to perform physical duties associated with the role.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (2 years college preferred)
- Meets highly qualified requirements for classified staff
- Ability to positively interact with students.
- Demonstrate flexibility, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Organized, self-starter with the ability to work with other team members.
- Possess honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to perform any physical duties associated with this position (e.g., lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, sitting for long periods of time, walking, sitting, standing for extended periods of time, etc.).

Responsibilities
- Work with one individual student and groups of students to help them access the least restrictive environment for their educational needs.
- Provide behavioral and educational support for young children with special needs.

- Complete in-service training during the school year per licensing standards, such as HWC training.
