About The Position

Teaching Assistants will assist second-year medical students in reviewing prosections (pre-dissected cadaveric specimens) in the anatomy lab. They should demonstrate the ability to teach human anatomy in the lab and have a solid knowledge of pelvic anatomy. Responsibilities include leading laboratory sessions, supervising and facilitating anatomy review sessions, and assisting with the preparation and invigilation of the anatomy lab exam.

Requirements

  • Previous laboratory experience in human anatomy on topics relevant to the course description.
  • Strong knowledge of pelvic anatomy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English (verbally and in writing).
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based/located.

Nice To Haves

  • Communication in French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead three (6) prosection laboratory sessions (2 hours each).
  • Participate in the supervision and facilitation of two (2) anatomy review sessions (2 hours each).
  • Assist with the preparation (2 hours) and invigilation (1 hour) of the anatomy lab exam (total of 3 hours).
