About The Position

Undergraduate Course Assistants will assist first-year dentistry students in thoracic anatomy prosection-based laboratories as part of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry curriculum. They should demonstrate the ability to teach human anatomy in the lab and effectively facilitate student learning using prosections of the thorax, including the respiratory system, circulatory system, heart, and mediastinum. Responsibilities include supporting three (3) laboratory sessions (2 hours each). In addition, Undergraduate Course Assistants will participate in the supervision and facilitation of an anatomy review session (2 hours).

Requirements

  • Previous laboratory experience in human anatomy on topics relevant to the course description.
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory anatomy and circulatory system anatomy.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.

Nice To Haves

  • Communication in French is an asset.
