About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor for the course ELG3506A, Applied Electromagnetism, during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves designing, preparing, and testing laboratory experiments, assisting students with experiments and assignments, grading assignments, quizzes, and lab reports, holding weekly consultation hours, responding to student emails, preparing and conducting discussion groups, and preparing problem solutions. The work is to be performed on the Main Campus and is expected to be in-person. The number of positions and hours offered are subject to final enrollment in the course.

Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or equivalent with a grade of at least A.
Must attend the TA seminar given by the Centre for Pedagogy, if necessary.
Selected candidates must be available for an interview.
If this course includes DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision and teaching periods, candidates must be available for them.
Good knowledge of the theory of electromagnetism and transmission lines, as well as the equipment used in the laboratories, is essential.
Must have good presentation skills, including a very good knowledge of spoken and written French, to be verified by the professor.
The teaching method will be delivered in person.

Responsibilities
