About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor position for the course PHY3902: Physics and Applied Physics Laboratory I, during the Fall 2026 semester. The position involves assisting students with laboratory experiments, preparing demonstrations, grading assignments and tests, and proctoring exams. The total expected work hours are 130, with specific allocations for preparation, student contact, grading, and proctoring. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

  • B. Sc. in Physics
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

Responsibilities

  • Presenting lab demonstrations
  • Preparing lab demonstrations
  • Grading assignments, tests, and midterms
  • Helping students when requested, including holding office hours
  • Proctoring the final exam
