About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for Principles of Physics I (PHY1321 / PHY1331) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The role involves supporting the course through various tasks including marking, assisting students, preparing course materials, and proctoring exams. The position is classified under CUPE and is for a specific course. Requirements

  • Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
  • Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
  • Applications must be received BEFORE 2026/07/18.

Responsibilities

  • Marking / Grading: Up to 60 hours
  • Contact with students: Up to 24 hours of DGD
  • Preparation: Up to 24 hours of prep time / course material development
  • Contact with students: Up to 12 hours of office hours, helping students
  • Other Duties: 4 hours of proctoring of a final exam
  • Other Duties: Up to 6 hours of proctoring / course evaluation etc.
