About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Pathophysiology of Health Problems course (HSS3305 Section A) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with various tasks related to the course, including grading assignments and exams, proctoring exams, and potentially holding in-person office hours to address student inquiries. The course is offered in person, and the teaching assistant will be required to come to campus occasionally. Access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam is also necessary. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
  • Very good English writing skills to accurately mark essays and long answers on exams
  • Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
  • Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
  • Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam

Responsibilities

  • Help with correction of the assignments and exams
