About The Position

This is a specific course posting for a Teaching Assistant (TA) role for HIS2362-A00, titled "New France and British North America," during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is within the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts. The TA will be responsible for a combination of duties as outlined in Article 4.3.1 of the collective agreement, which may include correcting assignments, attending lectures (in-class and/or online), consulting with students (in-person and/or online), and proctoring exams. The total expected work hours are 60, with a start date of September 1, 2026, and an end date of December 31, 2026. The hourly rate will be $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students (2024-2025 rates), exclusive of vacation and statutory pay. These rates are subject to change pending a new collective agreement ratification, with retroactivity applied after ratification. The language of work is English.
