About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the course Global Environmental Challenges (ENV1101, Section A00) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The position is under the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. The work involves supporting the instructor in the delivery of the course, which has an expected enrollment of 255 students. Two students will be hired for this position, each working a total of 105 hours. The work is to be performed at the Main Campus.
Requirements
- B.A. in Geography, in Environmental Studies or the equivalent in a related field.
- Fluency in English.
- Must be a student eligible for the position (undergraduate or graduate).
- Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
- Must adhere to the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Responsibilities
- Support the instructor in the delivery of the course Global Environmental Challenges (ENV1101, Section A00).
- Specific allocation of hours to various tasks (Research, Preparation, Contact with Students, Grading, Proctoring, Training, Other) should be negotiated and signed by the student and the supervising professor prior to the commencement of work.
