About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the AHL1100 course, Introduction to Interdisciplinary Study in the Arts, Section D00, for the Fall 2026 semester. The position is for one (1) TA and is expected to have an enrolment of 100 students. The work will be performed in person on the Main Campus. The TA will be responsible for a combination of duties as per Article 4.3.1 of the CUPE 2626 collective agreement, which may include correcting assignments, attending lectures (in class and/or online), consulting with students (in person and/or online), and proctoring exams. The specific allocation of hours to various tasks will be negotiated and signed by the TA and the supervising professor prior to the commencement of work. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a lower rate, while graduate students will be paid at a higher rate. These rates do not include vacation pay or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. The language of work is English.
Requirements
- B.A.
- Fluency in English
- Ability to communicate accurately, effectively, and with clarity in the language of instruction
- Good knowledge of Brightspace is an asset
