About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the CMN3133-A00 course, Political Communication, during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is under the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. The TA will be responsible for a combination of duties as outlined in Article 4.3.1 of the collective agreement, which may include correcting assignments, attending lectures (in-class and/or online), consulting with students (in person and/or online), and proctoring exams. The total work hours for this position are 105. The hourly rate will be $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students, exclusive of vacation and statutory pay. These rates are subject to change pending a new collective agreement ratification, with retroactivity applied after ratification. The language of work is English. The course is taught in person and has an expected enrollment of 120 students. All university employees must complete mandatory legislated training.
