The Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation, and Human Services is expanding and developing a master’s in Social Work degree, seeking candidates for four Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor positions. These are grant-funded, full-time, 9-month academic year positions with the possibility of summer work. The positions may begin as soon as January 2027. Initially, faculty will focus on curriculum development and CSWE accreditation alignment. The role involves assisting in the development of a part-time hybrid MSW program and teaching within related disciplines. After the program launches, responsibilities will transition to a four-four teaching load, with opportunities for scholarship, service, and summer teaching. These are non-tenure track positions, reviewed annually and intended for renewal through September 2031, contingent on grant funding. Upon grant funding culmination and program success, faculty may be eligible to apply for a tenure-track position. Successful candidates will be passionate about program and curriculum development, committed to an equitable and inclusive learning environment, and familiar with CSWE accreditation processes. The department supports various teaching modalities, including in-person, blended, and distance learning. This position is supported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through a subaward.
