About The Position

The Teaching Assistant (TA) for ANAT 261 - Intro to Dynamic Histology will supervise laboratory sessions, coordinate labs, and be responsible for marking, mid-term exams, grade assignments, and the final exam. TAs are expected to attend all lectures, answer student questions, organize tutorials and review sessions, and assist the Professor with the preparation and proof-reading of exam questions. This position is for ANAT 261 - Intro to Dynamic Histology, Course Code: ANAT 261 001.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in biological sciences (i.e., Biology, Biochemistry, Anatomy and Cell biology, Physiology).
  • Experience as a TA in Histology, Anatomy & Cell Biology.
  • Ability to coordinate labs, supervise undergraduate students, marking, exams and tutorials.
  • Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written) are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 1.5 of the 3, 2-hour labs on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for coordination of labs, marking, mid-term exam, grade assignments and final exam.
  • Attend all lectures and answer student questions.
  • Organize tutorials and review sessions with the students.
  • Help Professor with the preparation and proof-reading of exam questions.
