About The Position

Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) Specialists guide the exploration, development, evaluation, and/or implementation of new or experimental technology initiatives that support teaching, learning, and research. They support faculty in the effective integration of technology to enhance pedagogy, promote student engagement, and improve learning outcomes. This role involves providing consultative services to faculty, staff, and students on the effective use of emerging media technologies for teaching and learning. Additionally, the specialist will develop innovative resources and instructional material in support of faculty and student scholarly pursuits, design and maintain virtual teaching studios in the Business Building, and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional tools and strategies through research-based assessments and feedback. The role also includes exploring and testing new technologies to enhance teaching and learning, evaluating proposals, and working with vendors for the acquisition of products and services. The specialist will stay current with new technologies, trends, and pedagogical practices. This position may also supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree.
  • Previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
  • Demonstration of strong customer service skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the exploration, development, evaluation, and/or implementation of new or experimental technology initiatives that support teaching, learning, and research.
