About The Position

This position involves working with young children in a center-based environment, requiring the ability to demonstrate child engagement and effective classroom management skills. The role requires adherence to the Agency's core values and identification with the Agency mission.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6+ months working with young children in a center-based environment
• Ability to successfully demonstrate child engagement
• Ability to demonstrate effective classroom management skills
• Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
• Ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses
• Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Use of arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish the job
• Ability to kneel, bend and sit while interacting with children at floor level
• Ability to function within guidelines of Agency’s core values
• Identification with Agency mission
