About The Position

This position involves working with young children in a center-based environment, requiring effective classroom management and child engagement skills. The aide will support the educational and developmental needs of the children while adhering to agency core values and mission.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6+ months working with young children in a center-based environment
• Ability to successfully demonstrate child engagement
• Ability to demonstrate effective classroom management skills
• Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
• Ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses
• Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Use of arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish the job
• Ability to kneel, bend and sit while interacting with children at floor level
• Ability to function within guidelines of Agency’s core values
• Identification with Agency mission
