About The Position

The Kindergarten Teacher provides instruction and support in the curriculum areas for which employed. The role uses instructional resources and technologies appropriately and equitably, implements district, school, and program goals, and designs, delivers, and assesses curriculum according to district guidelines. The teacher maintains communication with scholars’ guardians and caregivers and works with them in supporting each scholar’s development. The position may provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable, and requires collaboration with others and willingness to participate in district and building leadership activities. The position is a long-term substitute scheduled from November 9, 2026, through February 10, 2027, with a 1.0 FTE school-year schedule, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
A Minnesota teaching license in the appropriate field, or a valid Minnesota teaching license in another field and willingness to obtain an Out of Field Permission.
If not currently licensed, willingness and eligibility to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or Tier 2 license.

Responsibilities

Implement the goals and objectives of the district, school, and/or program.
Maintain contact and communication with scholars’ guardians and caregivers, working with them to support scholars’ development.
Design, deliver, and assess curriculum according to district guidelines.
Provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable.
Work collaboratively with others.
Participate in district and building leadership activities.
