Success Academy Charter Schools•New York, NY

About The Position

Success Academy is hiring teachers for the 2026–27 school year. Science teachers in its New York City K–12 charter school network teach and prepare children from low-income neighborhoods to become self-assured thinkers and leaders, explore and debate sophisticated ideas, and pursue college and their future goals. Teachers receive extensive training and a proven curriculum, so they can focus on working with students rather than building lesson plans. A background in education, teaching certification, and a master's degree are not required. Teachers build relationships with students, families, peers, and mentors; solve challenges; assess and analyze student data to track growth and tailor teaching methods; and participate in professional development, coaching, and feedback. Career pathways include leadership opportunities in the classroom, leading a grade team, entering the assistant principal track, or moving to the network office. Most teachers are promoted to leadership positions within an average of three years. The role requires working in person in New York City and supervising a classroom of 20 or more students.
