About The Position

UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health seeks Per Diem Teachers for Jim Dooley Early Learning Center. This is a summertime job opportunity to make extra income during Summer Break. It's a great opportunity for teachers during Summer Break looking for extra income, college students looking for summer hours who have childcare experience, and high school graduates (must be at least 18) looking for a summer job with some familiarity with childcare. Under the guidance of the Director of Child Care, Lead Teacher, or Infant Program Coordinator, the Teacher works collaboratively with the teaching team to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate early childhood care and education program for their assigned classroom. The Teacher maintains the classroom program in compliance with NYS Regulations, Accreditation Standards, and Center policy. The Teacher also participates in Center program improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• One year of experience working with children.

Nice To Haves

• CDA credential
• vocational school training in childcare
• college coursework in the field of education
• childcare experience (for college students)
• familiarity with childcare (for high school graduates)

Responsibilities
