About The Position

The Elementary Teacher supports student learning and achievement at Chester Area Middle School within the South Shore Regional Centre for Education. The assignment is 80% Grade 6 English Language Arts, 5% Grade 5/6 MTSS, and 15% preparation time. The role is grounded in the Nova Scotia Teaching Standards and focuses on meeting the diverse needs of learners while maintaining high expectations for every student.

The position is a 100% term appointment, effective on a date to be determined and ending February 1, 2027. Applicants must provide satisfactory Child Abuse Register and Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector checks if hired. Requirements

• Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certification.
• Bachelor of Education – Elementary.
• University education in ELA.
• Minimum OPI rating of Advanced.
