About The Position

Otter Learning is seeking a caring, dependable Teacher to create a positive classroom where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. The role focuses on early childhood discovery, connection, and growth, using a play-based curriculum to help children develop foundational skills and prepare for kindergarten. The Teacher builds relationships with children and families, provides consistent care, maintains a welcoming classroom, and works with fellow educators and school leadership to deliver a high-quality learning experience. Candidates who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply, even without extensive classroom experience.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Positive attitude, patience, and reliability.
• Genuine interest in helping children thrive.

• Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education; candidates eager to learn will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and developmental growth.
• Use a play-based curriculum to help children build foundational skills and prepare for kindergarten.
• Build trusting relationships with children and families through consistent care and communication.
• Help children develop independence through daily routines, including meals, bathroom assistance, diapering, and rest time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom that supports children's safety and well-being.
• Work with fellow educators and school leadership to provide a consistent, high-quality learning experience.
• Support classroom organization and assist with guiding team members as needed.
