About The Position

This position begins as a substitute teaching position and becomes a 100% term effective November 12th, 2026 - May 13th, 2027. The role involves providing quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, implementing strategies for promoting student learning, demonstrating best practices in assessment, attending meetings and professional development, and maintaining records in online systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
• Implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting student learning based on each student’s prior knowledge, skills, and learning needs
• Demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps
• Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
• Maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues
