About The Position

This is a term position with the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education, requiring 100% effectiveness from August 1st, 2026, to January 31st, 2027. The role is 0.49 FTE. Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement. The posting closes at midnight on June 24th, 2026.

Requirements

• Teachers are expected to provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
• Teachers are expected to implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting student learning based on each student’s prior knowledge, skills, and learning needs
• Teachers are expected to demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps
• Teachers are expected to attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
• Teachers are expected to maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues
