About The Position
The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education (AVRCE) is seeking a teacher for Career Development 10, Contemporary Canadian Studies 11, and Global Geography 12. This is a 0.50 FTE term position. Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement. The posting closes at midnight on June 24th, 2026.
Requirements

- AVRCE will require referees to provide reference checks prior to noon on June 26.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
- Implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting student learning based on each student’s prior knowledge, skills, and learning needs
- Demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps
- Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
- Maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues
