About The Position
This is a term position with the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education, requiring 0.51 FTE. The role involves providing quality instruction within the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development framework, implementing strategies for student learning, demonstrating best practices in assessment, attending meetings and professional development, and maintaining records in online systems. The position is effective from February 1st, 2027, to July 31st, 2027. Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement.
Requirements

- AVRCE will require referees to provide reference checks prior to noon on June 26.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
- Implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting student learning based on each student’s prior knowledge, skills, and learning needs
- Demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps
- Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
- Maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues
