About The Position
This is for a Summer VPK Program at Skybrooke K-8 in Lutz, Florida, with estimated dates from June 5 to July 30, 2026. There are 2 positions available. The program includes a teacher planning day on June 5, 2026, totaling 33 days and 323.5 work hours. Student instructional dates run from June 8 to July 30, 2026, on weekdays. Teacher hours are generally 7:15 am - 5:15 pm, with a slight adjustment to 7:45 am - 4:45 pm for the last week. Student hours are 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, also adjusted to 8:00 am - 4:30 pm for the last week. The specialty is Early Childhood Programs - Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program (VPK) for children aged 4-5. Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a state-funded, free 10-hour per weekday early learning program for children who have not participated in the school-year VPK program. The program is designed to prepare children for success in kindergarten.
Requirements
- A valid active Florida educator certificate in one of the following areas: Elementary Education K-6 or Pre-Kindergarten/Primary Education PK-3
- Successful completion of background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening
