About The Position

The Goddard School is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable entry-level Teacher's Aide to support classroom teachers and care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. No prior childcare experience is required; training is provided. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. The position offers a starting career path in early childhood education, with training, professional development, and opportunities to earn teaching credentials and advance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A genuine love for children and a nurturing personality.
• Dependable, punctual, flexible, and a team player.
• Ability to meet Pennsylvania childcare background check, clearance, and health requirements.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., including lifting infants into and out of cribs.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Engage with infants through play, interaction, and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Help with feeding, diaper changes, naps, and daily care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom.
• Support children's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school leadership.
