About The Position
Family Service League is seeking a part-time Teacher’s Aide for the Riverhead Summer Program at the Riverhead Family Center. The Teacher’s Aide will serve children grades K-4 and assist the supervisor with educational programming.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with elementary school age children required.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; especially Word and Excel, required.
- Excellent organizational, time management and verbal and written communication skills required.
Nice To Haves
- some college preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and clean up classroom.
- Distribute snacks and materials to students.
- Escort children throughout the building.
- Supervise students on field trips.
- Assist students individually and in small groups with academic assignments.
- All other duties as assigned.
