About The Position

The Teachers Aide will support the Teacher in providing developmentally appropriate education experiences across various subjects, including religion, art, music, literacy, science, and mathematics. This role involves assisting in supervising activities that promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child, aligning with Diocesan goals and objectives. The aide will also maintain a neat, safe, and organized classroom environment and assist in the upkeep of all educational equipment and materials.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
Demonstrated patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with school staff.
Must pass a background check and meet all state and diocesan requirements for working with children.

Nice To Haves

associate’s degree or experience in childcare/education preferred.
Practicing Catholic preferred with knowledge of Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings.
Commitment to self-evaluation and professional growth.
Professionalism in attire, communication, and demeanor.
