About The Position
Provides instruction and is responsible for student learning for students during a particular time period in developmental reading and language arts education.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate with an endorsement in one or more of the following endorsement areas: 102 or applicable
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted, evidence-based reading instruction to improve students' literacy skills, including fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and written language.
- Assess student progress, analyze literacy data, and differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and accelerate achievement.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress and implement effective literacy interventions.
- Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, confidence, and success while maintaining accurate records and communicating student progress.
