Teacher-Preschool (Center-Based)
About The Position
The Preschool Teacher creates a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 3 to 5. The role plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth, prepare them for kindergarten, and foster school readiness in alignment with Head Start Performance Standards and program goals. The teacher collaborates closely with families to support each child's learning and development. The position also oversees classroom operations, including classroom management, recordkeeping, and active supervision of children.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, child development, or a related field.
- Experience working with children under the age of 5.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with data management and reporting systems.
- Ability to conduct home visits, including reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
