About The Position

St. John Regional Catholic School in Frederick, Maryland, is seeking a qualified full-time PreK3 Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The PreK3 Teacher is responsible for implementing daily standard-based lessons to support students' application of developmentally appropriate skills and concepts in all subject areas. The teacher will also engage parents and colleagues in support of the curriculum as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore and St. John Regional Catholic School.

Requirements

Degree in Elementary Education and/or 90-hours certification.
Current MSDE certification and/or 90-hours certification.
Must be a practicing Catholic.
Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite for Education (including Google Classroom), Smartboards, Chromebooks.
Must have a commitment to Catholic School education.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and document weekly lesson plans and labs consistent with curriculum guidelines.
Provide grade-appropriate instructional program within the content of the Archdiocesan Curriculum in all subject areas.
Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
Implement lessons utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge, and engage students.
Establish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating PowerSchool grade book weekly.
Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities.
Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
Actively participate in ongoing professional development and professional learning communities.
