About The Position
Ampersand Therapy, a women-founded, therapist-led school-based therapy company, is seeking a compassionate, student-focused Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is based in Concord, NC, and involves making a meaningful difference for students within a local school district. Interviews are currently being conducted.
Requirements
- Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Visually Impaired.
- Compassionate and student-focused approach.
- Qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Visually Impaired.
Nice To Haves
- O&M certification (allows for flexibility for full-time position).
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success.
- Potentially serve students in a local Jacksonville, NC school district.
- If holding an O&M certification, there is flexibility for a full-time role.
