Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Hold the appropriate Indiana teaching license for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students.
- Meet applicable Indiana licensure requirements.
- A valid Indiana Elementary Education (K–6) license may also be required.
- Highly Qualified status, when applicable to the assignment, may also be required.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Develop and implement learning strategies aligned with individual student goals.
- Support communication and participation throughout the school environment.
- Monitor student progress.
- Contribute to educational planning.
- Foster an inclusive classroom experience that promotes student independence and growth.
