About The Position
SMS group is offering a structured, cohort-based internship program for students in engineering, technical, or business fields. Interns will own real projects within their departments, receive mentorship, and gain broad exposure to various company functions through cross-functional sessions. The program includes site tours, networking opportunities, and culminates in a presentation of their work to SMS leadership. The company is looking for motivated individuals who can take initiative, collaborate, and are eager to learn and grow into leadership roles. Successful interns may have the opportunity to return in a full-time capacity.
Requirements
- Current students in engineering, technical, or business fields
- Comfortable owning your work and collaborating across a team
- Motivated to learn fast and grow into leadership
Responsibilities
- Own a real project in your department, backed by a dedicated Department Lead and a 1:1 mentor.
- Explore the whole company through weekly cross-functional Discovery Sessions with departments like Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Safety.
- Get out of the office for site tours, global networking, and team events.
- Cap the summer by presenting your work to SMS leadership at the August Capstone.
