About The Position

This position is for a Music Teacher within the Paterson Public Schools. The role requires a candidate who can effectively teach high school students, understand and implement the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for Visual and Performing Arts, and utilize assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, out-of-the-box thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character. Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written, are essential for interacting with students, staff, administration, and the community. The teacher will be expected to maintain positive and supportive relationships with all stakeholders. This position is pending budget availability and is open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled. Requirements

• Hold a New Jersey Teacher of Music certificate
• Knowledge of NJSLS for Visual and Performing Arts
• Experience working with high school students
• Ability to collaborate effectively
• Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes
• Must be a team player and an original out-of-box thinker
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, administration, and the community
