About The Position

The Teacher Instructional Math Coach will support high school teachers in improving mathematics instruction, increasing student achievement, and strengthening rigorous teaching practices aligned to district and state expectations.

Requirements

• Experience in mathematics instruction.
• Knowledge of district and state mathematics standards.
• Skills in data analysis for instructional planning.
• Experience facilitating professional learning communities (PLCs) and professional development.
• Ability to assist with pacing, lesson planning, and differentiation strategies.
• Skills in promoting student engagement and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and support to Math teachers through modeling, co-teaching, classroom support, and feedback.
• Support implementation of Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and advanced mathematics curriculum aligned to state standards.
• Assist teachers in strengthening problem-solving, reasoning, discourse, and conceptual understanding.
• Analyze assessment data to guide instructional planning.
• Facilitate PLCs, common planning, professional development sessions, and data meetings.
• Support tutoring, intervention, acceleration, and graduation readiness programs.
• Assist teachers with pacing, lesson planning, and differentiation strategies.
• Promote student engagement and achievement in mathematics.
