About The Position

The Teacher Instructional Literacy Coach will support high school teachers in strengthening literacy instruction, improving student achievement, and implementing rigorous, standards aligned teaching practices.

Requirements

• Experience in literacy instruction
• Knowledge of state standards
• Ability to analyze student assessment data
• Experience with professional development facilitation
• Understanding of tutoring, intervention, and acceleration programs
• Skills in lesson planning and differentiation

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and support to Language Arts teachers through modeling, co-teaching, classroom support and feedback
• Support implementation of district English Language Arts curriculum aligned to state standards
• Assist teachers with reading comprehension, writing instruction, vocabulary, and literacy strategies
• Analyze student assessment data to guide instructional improvement
• Facilitate professional development, PLCs, common planning and data meetings
• Support tutoring, intervention, acceleration, and graduation readiness programs
• Assist teachers with pacing, lesson planning, and differentiation strategies
• Promote student engagement and achievement in literacy
