Hixson High School has served the greater Chattanooga area since 1909. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Tennessee teaching license in 6-12 Mathematics OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
- Positive, student-focused educators with strong content and classroom management skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
- Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus
- Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
- Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners

- Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
